At the Atlanta winter gift market held at AmericasMart in January, Thomas Glenn Holidays introduced its newest collection - The Mid-Century Collection. Over the years, a number of its designs have been inspired by mid-century style - from the architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright, to the art and architecture Dutch movement known as "De Stijl", to technological designs related to the space age of the 1950's & 1960's, to the Dutch painter Piet Mondrian. These designs proved to be successful with the retail trade - so TGH decided to create a Mid-Century Collection with expanded designs for the 2020 holiday season.
The runaway favorite at the show this year was "Meow" - #2047 - pictured here. Also extremely popular were #2001 - Pretty in Pink and #2042 - De Stijl. A more "traditional" favorite was #2024 - Frosted Branches - which is reminiscent of Christmas card designs from the 50's and 60's. Still in the active inventory are customer favorites, including #1811 - The Wright Way; #1601(xmas) - Mondrian Christmas; and #1826 - Sparkler.
On The Bronze Dolphin site, items that are new for 2020 are flagged with a "New Arrival" banner. You can easily find these by selecting "Newest" from the "Sort by" drop-down options at the top of the page. Any items that have an "Add to Cart" button are currently available. Those marked "Out of Stock" will be available in late August when new inventory will be received from Poland.
